MoE's Innovation Cell (MIC) is focusing to create and strengthen the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem to enable in promoting and supporting student innovations and sustainable start-ups.

AICTE at JCW

Jindal College for Women (JCW) is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is actively associated with the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC) through its Institution's Innovation Council (IIC). The IIC initiative, implemented by MIC in collaboration with AICTE, is designed to foster a vibrant culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within higher education institutions.

Embracing this vision, JCW established its Institution's Innovation Council during the academic year 2023-24 and has since been regularly organizing workshops, skill-development programs, and experiential learning activities for students. Through these systematic efforts, the College encourages learners to explore creative business ideas, develop problem-solving abilities, and strengthen essential entrepreneurship and managerial competencies, while the AICTE approval ensures that all academic programs conform to national quality standards and best practices.

Objectives
  • Encourage students to develop an innovative mindset through regular awareness and training sessions.
  • Facilitate interaction with industry experts and mentors to expose students to current trends and expectations.
  • Encourage students to work together on Interdisciplinary Projects.
Focus

The Major focus of IIC of Jindal College for Women is on:

  • Cultivating innovation and entrepreneurial skills among interested and motivated students through regular organization of competitions, guest lectures, and thematic programs by the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) throughout the year in a systematic manner.
  • Identifying, recognizing, and rewarding innovative ideas and student projects through institution-level and inter-collegiate challenges, thereby motivating students and faculty to translate innovations into viable start-ups.
  • Providing mentorship, expert guidance, to support problem solving and development of sustainable entrepreneurial ventures.
  • Creating a supportive platform for students to experiment with creative solutions and transform promising concepts into socially relevant and market-ready products and services.
  • Facilitating the creation of startups by providing incubation support, including access to infrastructure, seed funding, and networking opportunities.
